Auburn, Ala. (EETV)- Miss Auburn candidate Maggie Ricks is a third-year student majoring in both Accounting and Spanish. Ricks has been involved on campus through multiple positions such as an Assistant Vice President of Programs for SGA, an SGA Director of Creed Week, a Camp War Eagle Counselor, and a New Member Educator for Auburn Greek Life.
Ricks’s campaign is centered around strength as she feels it describes the Auburn Creed. Ricks has chosen to specifically focus on the following line.
“I believe in my Country, because it is a land of freedom and because it is my own home, and that I can best serve that country by ‘doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my God.”
Ricks chose this line because of her experience with the Auburn Family as her home away from home. This can be seen through her campaign slogan “Make it Home, Make it Maggie”.
“My campaign and year of service will seek to “Make it Home, Make it Maggie” to create a home for everyone at Auburn, whether they live right down the road from Jordan-Hare Stadium, or they flew across the world to get an Auburn education.”
