AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) – On Feb. 22nd, the Krewe De Tigris will be in downtown Auburn for the cities fourth annual Mardi Gras Parade. The parades Krewe Krawl starts at 2 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m. The event is free, but participants can receive discounts from special downtown merchants with the purchase of a wristband.
The Krewe De Tigris is an Auburn spirit. Born out of myth and magic over 5,000 years ago, he paces the Auburn plains existing in the dreams of Auburn residences. William Blake, author and poet, told a tale about Krewe, saying, “Tiger, tiger, burning bright in the forests of the night. What immortal hand or eye dare frame thy fearful symmetry? How powerful our God must be to fashion such a creature”.
