AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn Police Division appoint Cedric Anderson as the new Auburn Police Chief.
Anderson has been serving the Police Division for 27 years. Previously, he has held almost every rank within the police division. He also was the section chief for City operations, Auburn University police officer, and served in the United States Army.
Anderson has been recognized with many awards over his successful career. Anderson is popular amongst our Law Enforcement community and the Auburn community. Anderson has helped outreach efforts such as the “Bridges” program and “Neighborhood walks.”
Cedric Anderson will be awarded with his new title on March 1 with Will Mathews. Mathews is earning the title of deputy director of public safety over communications and emergency management.
Mathews has also served for 27 years and was section chief. He has played a leading role in technological and disaster preparedness advancements. These individuals have served and will continue to serve Auburn well.
