AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- An AU alert was sent out at 1:10 p.m. today, Feb. 27, in regards to a large gas leak near the intersection of Thach and South College by the chapel. Officials have advised people to avoid the area as crews work to fix the leak.
A firefighter at the scene explained to Eagle Eye TV that heavy construction equipment hit the gas line. Construction in that area is currently underway for the new culinary arts center.
