AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Alabama voters have less than a month to register for the upcoming runoff election.
The election is set to take place July 14th, with the largest race being Jeff Sessions vs Tommy Tuberville. These two are facing off to see who will be the Republican that will face against Doug Jones for the US Senate seat in November. The deadline to register to vote is Monday, June 29.
Many people, due to Covid-19 and other circumstances, are not necessarily able to physically be at their voter location. People with this issue who still wish to vote are encouraged to submit for an absentee ballot. The deadline to apply is Thursday, July 9. Voters can apply online or by calling their local Absentee Election Manager's office. They can also contact the Secretary of State's Office at (334) 242-7210
If approved and given an absentee ballot, the deadline to return the ballot to the Absentee Election manager is close of business on Monday, July 13. The last day to postmark an absentee ballot is also July 13.
