AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - The Southeastern Conference announced Tuesday afternoon that Auburn Soccer’s upcoming match against the Texas A&M Aggies has been postponed, due to a positive COVID-19 test on the Texas A&M team. The positive test has resulted in a number of student-athletes to be quarantined.
The game was set to be played Sunday, Sept. 27 and will now be rescheduled at a later date.
The announcement was made in regards to following the COVID-19 management guidelines laid out by the SEC’s Medical Guidance Task Force.
Auburn's next match will now be against LSU in Baton Rouge on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. CT.
The Tigers are 0-0-1 on the season, as they tied the Mississippi Bulldogs 1-1 in their home opener last Friday night.
