AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- In a recent Plain Talk interview, Dr. Bobby Woodard stated "This week, [quarantine dorms] are at 12 percent." With 12% of beds being reported as full, that would about 198 of the 225 beds still open.
This new number comes two weeks after Yellowhammer News reported Auburn's quarantine dorms to be at 67 percent capacity. Dr. Woodard did clarify that numbers change on a day to day basis. "Someone is coming out the residence hall every day, while someone is probably going in the residence halls every day" Dr. Woodard clarified.
Auburn University also saw a decline in self-reported cases. The main campus only saw 108 new cases last week compared to the 588 cases the week prior. Eagle Eye TV will continue to report the effects of Covid-19 on the Auburn-Opelika Area.
