AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - After shooting three under and tying for second lowest of the day, Auburn finds themselves in the middle of the pack at the conclusion of the second day in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Senior Andrew Kozan is leading the way for the Tigers thanks to his even-par card in the first round and 3-under outing in the second. Kozan’s team-high 12 birdies puts him at fourth on the leaderboard, seven strokes behind leader Alex Goff of Kentucky.
Auburn has four players cracking the top-50 after round two. C.J. Easley is tied for 20th at 2-over par following an impressive 2-under (70) day two. J.M. Butler had the biggest improvement of all the Tigers from shooting 6-over (78) on day one to 1-under (71) on day two. Wells Padgett also improved his first day score, 5-over (77) to 3-over (75), placing him tied for 45th.
Rounding out the five Tigers competing this week is sophomore Alex Vogelsong. After an unfortunate quadruple bogey on hole four, Vogelsong sits at 7-over (79) after day one. However, Vogelsong bounced back and shot 4-over (76) to finish the second day for the Tigers.
Auburn managed to jump two spots from tenth to eighth (588), while Alabama takes the lead from Tennessee and sits atop the leaderboard at 3-under par (573).
