AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Auburn Soccer will no longer travel to Baton Rouge Saturday due to a positive COVID-19 test on the Auburn team and several mandatory quarantines.
The decision comes from the Southeastern Conference following the requirements outlined by the SEC’s Medical Guidance Task Force.
This week’s postponement marks the second week in a row that Auburn’s scheduled game will be pushed back due to reports of positive COVID-19 cases. Last week, the Tigers were supposed to travel to Texas A&M for a match, but due to a number of positive cases on the Aggies team, this game will be rescheduled as well.
More information is to be released later regarding an alternate date for the match between the two Tiger teams.
Auburn’s next game will be against the Ole Miss Rebels at the Auburn Soccer Complex on Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. CT.
