This Weekend in Auburn Sports 10/6

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- This weekend in Auburn sports is a full slate of soccer and volleyball with football on its bye week. Also, members of the Auburn equestrian team brought home awards for their October performances.

Auburn football is off this week following their dominating 48-11 victory against LSU this past Saturday. The win placed Auburn back into the AP Top 25 college football poll with the Tigers coming in at number 24. Auburn will return to the gridiron next Saturday, Nov. 14 as they will travel to Starkville, Miss. to face the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Davis-Wade Stadium. The game will kickoff at 3 pm CT and will air on the SEC Network.

Auburn soccer has clinched a first-round bye in the SEC Tournament with their 1-0 overtime win over LSU this past Monday. This win marked Auburn soccer's first bye in the tournament since 2016 as well as the 300th victory in program history. The number 15 Auburn Tigers are set to face the Alabama Crimson Tide to finish up their home slate on Friday, Nov. 6 at 6 pm CT at the Auburn Soccer Complex. The Tigers are 18-8-2 all time in the Iron Bowl of soccer.

In Equestrian, members of the number 1 Auburn Equestrian team were honored by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association for their October performances. Senior, Taylor St. Jacques was given the award of Flat Rider of the month and junior, Mckayla Langmeier earned the honor in Fences. Sophomores, Olivia Tordoff and Boo Kammerer took home awards on the Western Side in Horsemanship and Reining.

Auburn volleyball is at the midway point in their 2020 season as they travel to Lexington, KY to face the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday, Nov. 7, and Sunday, Nov. 8. Both matches are set to start at 3 pm CT with Saturday's match aired on the SEC Network + and Sunday's match aired on the SEC Network. The Tigers are still looking for their first win of the season.
