Auburn Falls to No. 8 Texas A&M

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Auburn, coming off a loss against Alabama on Sunday, faced No. 8 Texas A&M on Thursday. They came up short with the final score of 84-69.

The Aggies scored the first two points of the game, but Honesty Scott-Grayson quickly makes the first three of the game for Auburn.

Auburn put up 28 3-pointers in the first three quarters and made 10 of the 35 total 3-pointers shot.

Leading the team, Scott-Grayson had 21 points with four 3-pointers.

“I thought we came out and really gave the No. 8 team in the country a good run — a really good run,” Auburn head coach Terri Williams-Flournoy said. “I thought we had some good energy. They’re just very good, and they hurt us where we knew we didn’t want them to hurt us and that was rebounding and points in the paint.”

Auburn was down by 6 with the score of 33-27 after the first half but failed to close the gap in the second half.

Texas A&M had 41 total rebounds while Auburn only had 28.

The Tigers will travel to Bud Walton Arena on Sunday to face the Arkansas Razorbacks at 2 p.m.
