AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) – A little over a week after freshman point guard Justin Powell announced he will transfer, juniors Jamal Johnson and Javon Franklin announced they will enter their names as well.
In 23 games, Franklin averaged 1.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.2 assists and shot 37.9% from the field.
In 27 games, Johnson averaged 9.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists this past year while shooting 36.0% from the field and 36.1% from the three.
This will be the second time in the transfer portal for both of these players. Johnson transferred from Memphis in 2018 after Penny Hardaway was hired, and Franklin transferred in as a JUCO from Holmes Community College in Mississippi.
