(EETV)- Severe storms came through the state of Alabama on Wednesday afternoon leaving several homes damaged across the state of Alabama. There were a total of 19 reported tornadoes in Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Autauga, Hale, and Greene counties.
Tuscaloosa was hit with the first tornado that touched down to the eastern side of town. Below is a video of a roof coming off of a home during that tornado.
The city of Selma, Alabama had a tornado near the downtown area. The funnel cloud was caught on camera at a nearby papermill. Multiple tornadoes would be reported in the Montgomery/Selma area including parts of Chilton and Autauga county.
This was the first time since 2012 that the state of Alabama was on high risk for severe weather from the national weather service.
