Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - Beginning this fall, a new Auburn University dining hall titled, "The Edge" at Central Dining, will open and offer a variety of meal options for students and the campus community. The new central dining hall will be located next to Parker Hall and the Campus Green, operating seven days a week. The highlight of Central Dining will be the 48,000 square-foot, 800-seat dining hall, The Edge.
The Edge at Central Dining is an all you care to eat facility featuring nine individual food stations, including an allergen station, deli and fresh produce market, two different grill stations, pasta made in-house, bread and pizza baked daily, fresh tortillas pressed all day and a salad bar that features produce grown on campus. The recipes are chef curated with quality ingredients to create a personalized experience for every guest.
“During my tenure here at Auburn, two of the questions I receive most often are ‘where are the healthy options’ and ‘is there a convenient place my child can sit down and eat a meal with a knife and fork?’” said Glenn Loughridge, Auburn University director of campus dining. “The Edge at Central Dining is the answer I have been waiting to give."
Auburn University Dining also announced new meal plans for 2021. The new meal plans align with the goals of the university to provide a dining atmosphere for students that is inclusive, unique and enhances the Auburn experience. The changes include a $25 increase to the off-campus default dining plan and a $200 increase to the on-campus default dining plan.
