Gouge Center Announces It's 2021 Summer Film Series

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - This month, the Jay and Susie Gouge Performing Arts Center at Auburn University has announced it’s 2021 Summer Film Series with outdoor screening of many fan favorite films to be shown at the Amphitheatre at the City of Auburn Lawn and Porch.

So far, two movies have been scheduled to be screened in partnership with the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center, or JDCAC, and will include the family-friendly Disney’s live action “Cinderella” and Pixar’s animated “Ratatouille”. “Cinderella” starring Lily James, Cate Blanchett, Richard Madden, and Helena Bonham Carter will be shown in the Amphitheater on Thursday, June 17 at 7p.m. In addition, you’ll be able to experience life in Paris’s finest restaurants through the eyes of a young animated rat while screening “Ratatouille” which will be held on Thursday, July 15 at 7p.m. as well.

Both screenings are free and open to public audiences with no ticket or registration required for entry. Movie-goers are encouraged to arrive early to participate in art activities provided by the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art and the JDCAC. Amphitheater gates open at 6p.m. while movies begin at 7p.m. Movie-themed concessions will be available upon purchase for all attending guests.
