Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - As of July 2021 the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, or JCSM, at Auburn University will begin participating in a study that measures social impact in the Lee County community and surrounding counties this fall. The JCSM was selected to participate in this study after a competitive application process where only 38 institutions were selected with Auburn being the only university selected in the SEC.
Working with the Measurement of Museum Social Impact, or MOMSI, the JCSM will measure social impact through strengthened relationships, health and well-being, continued education and engagement and intercultural competency that will provide data for refining the entire museum field.
The study will recruit and survey potential participants from the university and surrounding community beginning in July. Participants of the study will be asked to visit the museum at least three times between October 2021 and May 2022 and be asked to complete short surveys.
The Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art is located at 901 South College Street in Auburn, Alabama and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am to 4:30pm with extended hours on Thursdays lasting from 10am to 8pm.
