Julie Plasketes's work has been in galleries and museums in national and regional juried and invitational shows, earning juror and merit recognition. "Piecemeal" will feature 54 collages and three ceramic pieces. The display is defined as "unsystematic partial measures taken over a period of this time." The collages in this exhibition explore the pieces process as a means of generating shape and color, pattern and decoration, scenes and settings in rearrangement and restoration. “Piecemeal” includes four collage groups: Spaces and Places, Rooms, Sides of a River and Contemporary Ikebana Landscapes.
The AAA was founded as a non-profit, volunteer, community-based arts organization. It works closely with the JDCAC to provide the Auburn community with the best cultural experience to enhance and benefit the life of arts.
