AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - This year, the Opelika Chamber will host the annual Snopelika, November 30, 2021 and the annual Christmas parade, December 4, 2021. Both will take place in downtown Opelika, AL and are both hosted by the Opelika Chamber of Commerce.
Snopelika will be filled with all sorts of fun Christmas events. It will begin at 4:30 pm with the winter wonderland festival. The Opelika Chamber is accepting vendors to participate in the event. At 6:30 pm, as artificial snow falls, the Opelika High School Marching band will lead everyone from the Courthouse Square to the Christmas tree. Then, Mayor Fuller and City Council will share a Christmas story with everyone before the big finale of the official Christmas tree lighting. The event will be brought to you by the presenting sponsor: Railroad Investment Group.
The Annual Christmas Parade will begin at 10:00 am with the theme of "St. Nick's on the Tracks". The parade will make its way through downtown Opelika beginning at 9th Street by the Courthouse. It will include floats, bands, trucks, and more. In the case of rain during the parade, the event will be held December 5, 2021, at 3:00 pm instead. The parade will be brought to you by the presenting sponsor: Prewett Pest Control.
