Auburn, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn Women's Basketball announced on Wednesday that they would be without forward Romi Levy for the season after she tore her anterior cruciate ligament.
The forward from Herzliya, Israel was a key piece of the squad last season and was selected to the All-SEC Freshman team. Levy played in 23 of 24 games last season and started in 14 of those games.
As a freshman she averaged 5.4 points and 3.9 rebounds a game. With her being down for the season, first-year head coach Johnnie Harris will have to figure out how to replace one of the most experienced players on her squad.
Auburn Women's Basketball is slated to start their season with an exhibition game against Miles College on Thursday Nov. 4. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CST and admission is free. Their regular season campaign begins on Nov. 11 when they host Georgia Southern.
