AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Head Coach Butch Thompson and Auburn baseball have finalized their 2022 schedule, which consists of 55 games with 31 being played in Plainsman Park.
The season will open with the 2022 State Farm College Baseball Showdown at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Auburn will play Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Kansas State on Feb. 18-20.
The Tigers will then host 16 of the next 17 games at Plainsman Park, the only other game being a neutral site matchup against Tennessee Tech (Mar 8) at Toyota Field in Huntsville, Alabama.
Auburn’s weekend non-conference schedule consists of three-game series against Yale (Feb. 25-27), Rhode Island (Mar. 4-6) and Middle Tennessee (Mar. 11-13).
Auburn will also play in 12 non-conference midweek games. They host six such games including the home season opener vs Troy (Feb. 23), Alabama St (Mar. 1), UAB (Mar. 2), Kennesaw St (Mar. 15), JSU (Mar. 29) and Samford (Apr. 12).
The Tigers open SEC play by hosting Ole Miss from Mar. 17-19 and will also welcome Vanderbilt (Apr. 8-10), South Carolina (Apr. 22-24), Arkansas (May 6-8) and Alabama (May 13-15) to Plainsman Park.
The team's conference road schedule includes trips to Texas A&M (Mar. 25-27), LSU (Mar. 31-Apr. 2), Mississippi State (Apr. 14-16), Tennessee (Apr. 29-May 1) and Kentucky (May 19-21).
Students can get into home games for free.
