AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Starting January 3, face coverings will be required for all individuals inside all campus buildings, regardless of vaccination status. Students and faculty were emailed this update Wednesday afternoon.
The email highly encourages all individuals to get tested before returning to campus, but a negative test is not required at this time.
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC)'s Covid Data Tracker, the Omicron variant is responsible for roughly 58.6 percent of Coronavirus cases nationwide. In the Southeast, that estimation is higher, sitting at 78.3 percent. In Lee County, no coronavirus deaths have been reported in over two months.
Spring semester classes begin on January 12, with normal University operations returning also on January 3.
