AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Auburn University is pausing its vaccine mandate for employees after a federal judge issued an order that prohibits the federal government from enforcing vaccine mandates for federal contractors.
This new order currently halts the previous federal mandate that requires all employees of federal contractors, including universities, to be fully vaccinated by January 18th, 2022. It is undetermined whether this change will remain in effect as the mandate is still involved in legal challenges.
Despite this change, the university's current face-covering policy will remain in effect.
