Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - The lone finalist in the search for Auburn University's next president following current president Jay Gogue's second retirement, Dr. Christopher Roberts, hosted a student forum last week to hear from the Auburn student body. While he has not yet been formally confirmed as the next president of the university, many students asked questions regarding his positions and policies for when he likely does become president.
Dr. Roberts began the forum with an introduction about himself and his journey to get where he is today before spending about a half an hour answering questions from students. At the end of this half hour period, lines to both microphones leading up to the stage were full of students with more to ask the presidential candidate.
Ending the student forum with a promise to answer more questions at future events, both virtual and in-person, Dr. Roberts told the students that came to the forum that he was proud of their efforts and questions. The presidential finalist stated that the Auburn Student Body is the reason he wants to become the next president of Auburn University.
