Auburn, Ala. (EETV)- A handgun was found at Opelika High School Monday afternoon.
According to the Opelika Police Department, there was an altercation between two students during a class change at the school.
After an investigation by OHS Administrators and OPD School Resource Officers, a handgun was found in one student’s backpack. The gun was not related to the altercation.
No one was injured, and all OHS students and staff are safe. The student was transported to the Department for further investigation.
