Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - The Auburn Public Library celebrates 75 years around the sun this year. The library is a place where many go to find peace. It is a solemn area that one can go to escape the chaotic mess of the outside world.
The Auburn Public Library is different from any ordinary library. The library we have here in Auburn is special. Some may refer to the library as the heart of the community. It is what holds us together. With all the differences we hold as individuals, the library is a place where we can all come together with one immense commonality.
The Auburn Public Library received an Eagle Award at the Auburn Chamber of Commerce Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, February 2nd. We are so glad that we are able to recognize and appreciate one of Auburn’s finest organizations in many different ways.
In honor of the 75th anniversary, the Library is expanding the checkout limit to 75 items per card. What better way to spend the duration of this winter other than curling up in a soft, fuzzy blanket while reading a book from the loveliest library in the plains?
