AUBURN, ALABAMA. (EETV) - Auburn University announced in an email to students that masks are no longer required to be worn on Tiger Transit effective immediately. Masks will also no longer be required on on-campus shuttles.
This comes after a federal judge in Florida struck down the federal mask requirement on airplanes, taxis, buses and all other public transportation. The decision also includes all public transportation hubs.
As a result of the ruling, the Transportation Security Administration is no longer enforcing the mask mandate.
The CDC continues to recommend that people wear masks in indoor public transportation settings.
