AUBURN, Ala (EETV) - This week is Auburn University’s homecoming week. Take a look at all of the events taking place this weekend.
This year, homecoming and fall family weekend are held in conjunction on the same weekend making this a busy but exciting time within the Auburn community.
Events for this Friday include Friday Football Luncheons; Football, Fans, and Feathers; Jordan-Hare Stadium locker tours; the Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally; and Come to the Corner.
The Homecoming Parade celebrates alumni coming back to Auburn University and excites students and families for the Homecoming game on Saturday. The parade features organizations from both on and off campus.
Saturday’s events include the Auburn Alumni Tailgate; Auburn University Parent and Family Association Tailgate; Tiger Walk; Spirit March and Pep Rally; the Eagle Flight; and the Auburn and Missouri football game.
The Auburn University Parent and Family Association Tailgate will host the largest tailgate on campus for the Homecoming game. Guests are required to request a ticket prior to the event if they would like to attend. Aubie the Tiger will make an appearance at the tailgate as well.
Kickoff for the football game against the University of Missouri will be at 11:00 a.m., and Miss Homecoming will be announced at halftime.
The candidates for Miss Homecoming include Emmy Beason, SueEllen Broussard, Jenna Codner, Kai Jones and Grace McNairy. The candidates’ platforms can be found on Auburn University’s website.
This eventful Homecoming weekend will conclude on Sunday with a few last events including Brunch and Browse; the Honors College Induction and Pinning Ceremony; and Auburn Women's Soccer vs. Ole Miss.
