AUBURN, Ala (EETV) - October 19th was Auburn University’s annual Hey Day.
This year, Hey Day’s festivities included lunch, a pep rally, an eagle meet and greet with the Southeastern Raptor Center, Glomorata photo booth, an obstacle course and various yard games.
Originally it was supposed to be held on October 12th, but due to weather issues, it was postponed to today.
Hey Day began in 1947 when the students who served in World War II returned to school and struggled to find their place of belonging. Student Government Association created the event, Hey Day, to allow those who returned from the war.
The tradition has continued every year since. Hey Day has evolved from a day for people to get together and meet to one of Auburn’s most anticipated traditions.
