AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - After winning the SEC tournament today against the Florida Gators 86-67, it was announced hours later that the four-seeded Tigers will face the 12-seeded Yale Bulldogs in Spokane, Washington this Friday.
The Bulldogs have won the Ivy League tournament against the Brown Bears today 62-61 by a buzzer-beater. This is their seventh appearance in the tournament in program history, going as far as the Elite Eight in 1949.
Going into their fifth appearance in the tournament in six years and 13th appearance in program history, Bruce Pearl has created a strong resume for the Tigers coming into this year’s tournament, even solidifying their first Final Four in program history in 2019.
The two teams last met in 2021, where the Tigers came out victorious 86-64. This was the only time they played each other ever.
The Tigers will face Yale at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena this Friday, with the television channel and time to be determined.
