AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Student Affairs plans to host a Mental Health Training Day on March 14 in The Melton Student Center in rooms 2222, 2223 and 2227. The training will consist of two sessions at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. Training is open to both students and faculty of Auburn University.
These trainings will be beneficial to students who may be stressed from your classes, drained from midterms or simply want to learn more about mental health. Student Affairs is offering both resources and skills to students at Auburn University to alleviate these stressors.
Without proper training, it can be very difficult to reach a friend that may be struggling with mental health. In light of this, the event will include QPR (Question, Persuade and Refer) Suicide Prevention Training, a method for being able to spot the signs of potential suicide in others.
Student Affairs will also provide some light refreshments for attendees. To RSVP for the event, visit AUinvolve.
