AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - The grand opening of The Fox Coffee Shop brings smiles and refreshments to downtown Auburn on April 22.
Well Red owners Crystal and Richard Tomasello opened The Fox Coffee Shop to continue expanding their caffeinated beverage business in the Auburn community.
Former owner of The Coffee Cat Maddie Corbeau, pitched the idea to the Tomasello’s after owning her business for 10 years.
“She wanted to do something different and start something new,” said Crystal.
When Corbeau called the Tomasello’s with her idea they were honored to take over the location and start a new chapter.
The menu items consist of limited edition of the Well Red's popular menu items. Bacon cheddar biscuits, breakfast cookies and muffins are now up for grabs at both locations.
The atmosphere offers a safe space for working and mingling.
Crystal Tomasello describes The Fox as “a great and quirky shop with a location accessible to all.”
There was a crowd of about 100 people in the first three hours of operations, many being loyal customers from Well Red.
Faith Fain, an avid supporter of Well Red, heard about the grand opening through the Tomasello’s.
“They do a really good job of making you feel welcome and comfortable, and that’s why we go to Well Red and now The Fox,” said Fain.
Auburn students also visited early Monday morning during their grand opening for coffees and pastries before class.
Auburn student Katie Fain dropped by after hearing about the opening through Instagram.
“I dropped by to get my signature white chocolate mocha for a little pick-me-up before class,”
Fain said.
The Tomasello’s also plan to open up another coffee business in the community that is set to have a drive-thru and more menu options.
