Botanic hosts annual talent show for Auburn-Opelika community

Auburn, Ala. (EETV)— Auburn and Opelika’s beloved franchise Botanic kicked off season three of Botanic’s Got Talent on Oct. 1.

The annual event consists of three separate rounds each Wednesday for the month.

Starting with twenty contestants, 5 contestants are eliminated after each round until the finale which will take place on Nov. 1.

The winner of Botanic’s Got Talent will be awarded a $5000 cash prize and the opportunity to book Botanic’s patio bar for a performance.

Owners of Botanic King Braswell and Stacy Brown created the business as a franchise that combines King’s passion for horticulture and Stacy’s passion for restaurant franchising. The couple discovered that now more than ever, people seek to grow relationships in person, share experiences with each other and reconnect with nature.

In round two of Botanic’s Got Talent, 13-year-old singer-songwriter Khloe Michelle explained how her father and her love for Taylor Swift are the reasons she began singing and playing instruments.

“I signed up because I thought it’d be a really good experience to perform in front of people and to especially share my songs that I’ve written, and I’m having fun," said Khloe Michelle.

The remaining ten contestants are Khlloe Michelle, Billy Stonecipher, Cammie Crews, Eliza Daniel, Sarah Boulware, Jordan Vickers, Kitty Key, Teagan Nusbaum, Nick Blackwell and Karaleigh Hays.

The remaining contestants will compete in round 3 on Oct. 23.
