Gogue Performing Arts Center Provides Tour for Auburn University Faculty and Staff

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) – This past Wednesday and Thursday, the Jane and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center provided venue tours to the faculty and staff of Auburn University.

These exclusive tours aimed to inform them about any engagements and events they could get involved in, as the entertainment venue is finding ways to become more marketable to the Auburn community.

In these hourlong tours, guests were able to get behind-the-scenes access of different rooms throughout the venue, such as the wardrobe room, dressing room, and lounge room. They were even able to walk on the stage and look around the auditorium.

Michael Buckman, manager of The Kreher Preserve and Nature Center, had seen shows at the venue and expressed his amazement at seeing exclusive areas of the venue.

“The Performing Arts Center does a great job hosting,” said Buckman. "Seeing behind-the-scenes was amazing to see how everything was put together, and all the cool mechanisms and setup behind the stage was really fun to see.”

The entertainment venue opened in 2018. Since then, it has held many different events such as concerts, theatrical plays, and AU Band performances.

Some upcoming shows for the rest of this year include the Black Violin concert on Nov. 14 and the “Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of The Temptations” musical on Dec. 3.

Whether students or families of all ages are looking for a fun night out, a show at the Jane and Susie Performing Arts Center will be a spectacle to see.
