AUBURN, Ala. — The Auburn Recreation and Wellness Center will hold its annual Polar Plunge on Thursday, Jan. 30, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the center’s pool.
Volunteers are invited to take the plunge into the icy waters of the Leisure/Activity Pool. Participants can warm up afterward in the Wellness Center’s hot tub.
Anyone jumping into the pool is required to bring their own towel and all participants must be ready to jump by 5:15 p.m.
After the plunge, cinnamon rolls, coffee and hot chocolate will be served courtesy of The Bean. Jumpers will also receive a free beanie while supplies last.
The event supports Special Olympics Lee County and is accepting donations for the cause. Donations are not required to participate.
