AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - The AU Theatre Department begins its spring semester this week with its first production "Orlando". The show, adapted by Sarah Ruhl and directed by Ashley Butler, opens Thursday night, and runs until March 1.
"Orlando" is an adaptation of a novel by Virginia Woolf. The story follows Orlando, a young nobleman, on a journey through time. The AU Theatre Department refers to it as a “spellbinding exploration of love, compassion, transformation, and the eternal search for belonging amidst a hostile world."
The show’s opening night is Thursday at 7:30pm, along with a reception. There are seven additional shows, ensuring that everyone who wants to see the performance will have a chance to see it.
