AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) — Buckley Nettles has been elected vice president of Auburn University’s Student Government Association, running on a platform focused on communication, education, and participation.
Her campaign, “Buckling Up with Buckley,” emphasized the importance of strengthening connections between students and SGA, ensuring that student concerns are addressed, and promoting opportunities for greater involvement in campus initiatives.
Nettles’ platform prioritized improving communication between SGA and the student body, aiming to make information about policies, events, and resources more accessible. The junior studying communications also emphasized the role of education in helping students better understand SGA’s functions and decisions. She encouraged increased student participation in university governance, aiming to create more avenues for engagement.
As vice president, Nettles will oversee the SGA Senate and play a key role in shaping policies that impact Auburn’s student body. Her administration is expected to focus on enhancing transparency and fostering a more engaged and informed student community.
