Owen Beaverstock Elected 2025 Auburn SGA President, with Focus on Mental Health and Housing

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) — Owen Beaverstock has been elected president of Auburn University’s Student Government Association following a competitive campaign focused on student well-being and housing accessibility.

Beaverstock’s platform emphasized improving mental health resources and increasing off-campus housing agreements between Auburn and local apartment complexes. His campaign, built around the slogan “Be better with Beaverstock,” aimed to create a more supportive campus environment where students have access to the resources they need.

With housing availability becoming an increasing concern for students, Beaverstock proposed a plan to strengthen partnerships with apartment complexes to expand options for off-campus living. His administration plans to work toward improving mental health initiatives on campus, advocating for added resources and support for students.

Beaverstock, a junior majoring in political science, will take office later this year, succeeding the current SGA president, Jack Hilton.
