AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) — Auburn University students have elected new leadership for the Student Government Association (SGA) and Miss Auburn, with Owen Beaverstock winning the presidential race, Buckley Nettles securing the vice presidency, Hailey Bergenthal being elected treasurer, and Riley Parman being named Miss Auburn.

Beaverstock won the SGA presidency with 62.06% of the vote, defeating fellow candidate Jake Yohn, who received 37.94%. His campaign focused on mental health advocacy and expanding off-campus housing agreements between Auburn and local apartment complexes.

Nettles was elected vice president with 59.79% of the vote, surpassing Emma Frances Zellner. Her platform emphasized communication, education, and student participation, hoping to increase the direct connection between SGA and the Auburn student body.

Running unopposed, Bergenthal won the treasurer position with 100% of the vote. She plans to focus on financial well-being, investment, and long-term financial planning for Auburn students and alumni.

The election saw a voter turnout of 30.44%, with 9,971 students participating out of 32,756 eligible voters.

Lastly, Riley Parman was elected Miss Auburn. Her campaign, “Rooted with Riley,” centered on using education to serve the Auburn community while staying grounded in Auburn’s traditions and values.

Auburn students also selected at-large senators, academic college representatives, and other key SGA positions, shaping the leadership that will represent them in the upcoming year.
