AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - On Friday, March 6, two days before International Women’s Day on March 8, the Melton Student Center held the 2025 International Women’s Day Lunch Seminar in rooms 2222 and 2223.
The event lasted from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. and was facilitated by Dr. Adrienne Angelo. During the seminar, people were able hear from journalists Douglas Coutts and Roger Thurow about the history of the holiday and their impacts on it.
Attendees of the event were given the opportunity to interact with the journalists and ask them questions after their speeches.
Catering from Panda Express was served for lunch while a large vanilla sheet cake was served for dessert.
Overall, the event was a success as students and faculty were able to learn more about International Women’s Day and those who are impacted by it.
