FEDERAL WAY, Wash. (EETV) – The 2025 Women’s NCAA Championships are in the books, and Auburn wrapped up the competition with a 35th-place finish. They tallied 10 points over four days at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Washington.
The Tigers opened the meet Wednesday with strong relay performances. In the 200-yard medley relay, Lora Komoroczy, Anastasia Makarova, Abby Gibbons and Lexie Mulvihill clocked a 1:35.48 to place 17th, recording the third-fastest time in program history.
Later in the evening, Julia Strojnowska, Polina Nevmovenko, Wyllo Hanson and Bella Ekk finished 23rd in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 7:05.02.
Thursday night, the 200-yard freestyle relay of Mulvihill, Klevanovich, Nevmovenko and Komoroczy combined for a 1:27.63, finishing 14th. The swim also marked the 11th-fastest in school history.
Earlier in the day, freshman Julia Strojnowska posted a 4:50.14 in the 500-yard freestyle to finish 63rd, while fellow freshman Audrey Crawford clocked a 2:00.70 in the 200-yard individual medley for 60th.
In the 50-yard freestyle, Mulvihill led Auburn with a 22.14 for 31st, while graduate student Elizaveta Klevanovich followed in 42nd at 22.25.
On Friday, Komoroczy delivered Auburn’s standout swim of the meet in the 100-yard backstroke. The freshman from Budapest, Hungary, posted a 51.28, the fifth-fastest time in program history, finishing 17th and barely missing a spot in the finals.
Other individual efforts included Morgan Carteaux’s 52.78 in the 100-yard butterfly (45th), Crawford’s 4:16.51 in the 400-yard individual medley (43rd), Strojnowska’s 1:47.71 in the 200-yard freestyle (47th) and Makarova’s 59.64 in the 100-yard breaststroke (32nd).
Auburn’s 400-yard medley relay team was disqualified due to an early takeoff.
The Tigers closed the championships Saturday with another solid relay performance, as Klevanovich, Nevmovenko, Ekk and Mulvihill posted a season-best 3:13.29 in the 400-yard freestyle relay to finish 17th.
In individual events, Klevanovich swam a 48.38 in the 100-yard freestyle for 33rd, while Mulvihill placed 63rd in 49.15. Crawford wrapped up her meet with a 2:11.48 in the 200-yard breaststroke (40th), and Carteaux placed 45th in the 200-yard butterfly (2:00.93).
The highlight of the final day came from freshman Emily Hallifax on the platform. The French diver became the only Tiger to score individually, posting a 275.30 in prelims to qualify 12th for the consolation final.
In finals, she improved to 293.70, placing 13th overall and earning All-America Honorable Mention. Hallifax is Auburn’s first All-American diver since 2019 and the first on platform since 2012.
In total, five Auburn athletes earned All-America honors: Hallifax in platform diving, along with Klevanovich, Komoroczy, Mulvihill and Nevmovenko in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
With the women’s championships concluded, the Auburn swimming and diving program now shifts its focus to the men’s NCAA Championships, which begin Wednesday, March 26.
