Cardinal News Brief: April 4, 2016

This week the Cardinal News Brief Team recaps the presidential candidate visits across the state and new developments with campus governance committees. For the arts scene, Madison was visited by everyone from Sally Mann to G-Easy to Peppa Pig. Not to mention, Badger sports have had a few coaching changes.

Racial Political Advocacy

For the Daily Cardinal's second Action Project, the Documentary team took a special look at racial political advocacy for the political advocacy focused project. With a historic comparative analysis of modern day, the mini-documentary follows the story of former Badger, Andrew Goodman during the Civil Rights movement, comparing his efforts to those of the present day as demonstrated by groups such as UW Blackout or Young, Gifted and Black. Gender and Sexuality Rights Political Advocacy

For the Daily Cardinal's second Action Project, the Documentary Team took a special look at gender and sexuality motivated political advocacy for the political advocacy focused project. With a historic comparative analysis of modern day, the mini-documentary follows the story of historic protests of women's rights and the 1990s ROTC gay rights movement at UW-Madison with today's current calls for feminism, gender equality and sexual orientation inclusivity.
