Miss Homecoming top 20 candidates announced

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University's Student Government Association announced the top 20 nominees for the 2018 Miss Homecoming election tonight. The finalists were nominated by various campus organizations and groups.  The following students were named to the top 20: Lauren Downes  Taylor Searels Ally Arthur Emma Ownes Ann Hollon Morris Lauren Alger Emily Stone  Daniella Elzie Joy Boldt Mary Mac Carlin Bonnie Decarlo Jennifer Eaton Sadie Argo Maddy Hickman Julianna Dinsmore Sarah Louise Boland Katelyn Carson Tracy Moore Arlene Maheu Bentley Logue A committee will narrow down this list to the top five finalists over the coming days.

Famous 'Bunny Sculpture' taken down temporarily

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- A famous landmark for Auburn University's Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art is currently absent from its usual spot in the museum's pond. Alex Podesta's "Self-Portrait as Bunnies," commonly referred to as the Bunny Sculpture, is currently off exhibit.  According to museum spokesperson Connor Lowry, the sculpture has been temporarily removed so that it can be cleaned.  The exhibit has been at the museum for several years and became a permanent part of the collection following a fundraising drive associated with the annual Tiger Giving Day.  Museum officials expect the sculpture to be back in the pond in about ___ weeks.

Free food for each day of Welcome Week

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University classes start this week and with that comes the flood of events surrounding ‘Welcome Week.’ A big perk of many of the week’s events is free food; Eagle Eye TV complied a list of some of the places offering free food the first week.  Monday (5:00pm-8:00pm)- University Program Council’s Aubie Fest: Food, carnival games and fair rides on the Campus Green.

Annual Welcome Week events set to kickoff Thursday

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University’s annual Welcome Week events kick off Thursday as students start to head back to the plains for the start of the fall semester. Over 100 events will be hosted over the week by different campus organizations and departments in order to ring in the new academic year. This is the first year that Welcome Week has officially moved under the auspices of the University Program Council and organization officials are expecting a major lineup of events this year.

Meet the Candidates: Jordan Langdon

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- An Auburn University student has thrown their hat into the Auburn mayoral election, joining three other candidates. Auburn sophomore Jordan Langdon officially qualified to run for Auburn's highest office Wednesday according to Auburn city officials. “I’ve always had an interest in government from a young age," stated Langdon in a press release sent out by his campaign "I have had a desire to serve the community that I love so dearly, but I never knew exactly how.

Auburn launches new required assessment for all graduating seniors

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University's Office of Undergraduate Studies has launched a new required assessment that all graduating seniors must take before receiving access to their diploma application. The new assessment is called S.C.O.R.E which stands for Student Core Outcomes and Readiness Evaluation.

Auburn Pharmacy School gets high ranking

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) – The Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy was recently ranked among the top 25 pharmacy programs in the country by Drug Store News. In an effort to help hiring managers find the right pharmacists for specific retail environments, the magazine compiled a list, offered in no particular order, of the top programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. “Being recognized as one of the top 25 pharmacy schools in the country is a testament to the hard work of our students, faculty and staff,” said Dean Richard A.

Auburn Navy ROTC members marching to honor fallen Marines

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)– On Wednesday, May 9, a group of 44 Marines, Sailors and Midshipman of the Auburn University Navy ROTC will depart on a three-day, 209-mile ruck march from Auburn to Navarre, Florida. "Rucking for Raiders" is in memory of the members of Marine Special Operations Team 8231, or The Raider 7, an elite group of Marines who perished in a helicopter crash during a training accident on March 10, 2015. Alarms goes off at Foy Hall

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- The fire alarms at Auburn University's Foy Hall went off early Monday afternoon. The alarms, which prompted an evacuation of the building, went off for several minutes. According to officials with Auburn's Campus Safety and Security office, the alarm was due to construction going on in the building.
