Auburn, Ala. - The city of Auburn expects temporary lane closure on Thursday and Friday because of median beautification work along South College Street because Magnolia and Thach Avenues.
AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- The Auburn Police Division are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Monday morning in the 3300 block of Moores Mill Road. Police say that a vehicle that was traveling east bound left the roadway, struck a tree and became engulfed in flames. A 20 year old Lannett woman and a 24 year old Auburn woman were killed in the crash.
Through an NIH-funded clinical trial through the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Auburn University’s Veterinary College, people and animals suffering from glioma brain cancer are now undergoing treatment.
OPELIKA, Ala. (EETV)- A small plane crashed near the Marvyn Parkway entrance ramp to Interstate 85 late Tuesday night. Police and fire officials say that a single engine private plane had crashed into the edge of the woods, just off the entrance ramp.

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn City Councilman Ron Anders has been declared the winner of Auburn's mayoral runoff election. Anders beat community resident David Hill garnering 54.2% of the vote. Prior to his run for mayor, Anders served as the councilman for Ward 2. Anders currently serves as the Director of Special Projects for the Tailgate Guys company. Anders will succeed outgoing longtime Mayor Bill Ham.

At the Dean Road Recreation Center polling location, voters wanted new leaders to focus on accommodating the city's growth while also accounting for longtime citizens. "How we take care of everyone who is already present here, living here all the time," said resident Teri Gilmore. Some residents also wanted to ensure that city leadership remains stable going forward. "Continued good government," said Howard Ryan. Polls will be open across the city until 7:00 p.m.

OPELIKA, Ala. (EETV)- Opelika Police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with an identity theft case. According to police, the suspect used the victim's information to open up a credit card account at Best Buy and then made several purchases.

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- A pedestrian was struck by a train Thursday afternoon in Auburn. According to Auburn Police Division spokesperson Lorenza Dorsey, an east bound CSX train struck a 20 year old female near the North Donahue Drive crossing. The victim was transported to the East Alabama Medical Center with serious injuries.
