Campus Safety monitoring conditions ahead of Hurricane Michael's expected arrival

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University is monitoring weather conditions ahead of Hurricane Michael's expected landfall. In an email to students officials wrote: "We currently do not anticipate any changes to class schedules or normal university operations as a result of Michael, but that could change as the forecast evolves and the storm moves closer." Campus Safety officials also tweeted tips for students traveling during the Thursday and Friday fall break.

Pedestrian hit by train

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- A pedestrian was struck by a train Thursday afternoon in Auburn. According to Auburn Police Division spokesperson Lorenza Dorsey, an east bound CSX train struck a 20 year old female near the North Donahue Drive crossing. The victim was transported to the East Alabama Medical Center with serious injuries.

Auburn SGA honors Mayor Ham

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- The Auburn University Student Government Association honored outgoing Auburn Mayor Bill Ham at their Senate meeting Monday night. Sponsored by Raymond James Harbert College of Business Senator Mary Margaret Turton, the commendation praised Ham's time as the city's leader.

Arrest made in connection to individual being found unconscious on campus street

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn Police arrested Alexander C. Hernandez, age 23, from Fort Benning, Georgia Monday on a felony warrant charging him with Rape First Degree. Police say that a victim was found May 12 unconscious on Engineering Drive, which its located on the campus of Auburn University. The victim was eventually transported to the East Alabama Medical Center due to the victim's level of intoxication. Further investigation by authorities, including a DNA examination by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, determined that Hernandez, an acquaintance of the victim, sexually assaulted her.  Detectives charged Hernandez with Rape First Degree.

Police looking for suspect in connection to a theft at a laundry room

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn Police are looking for a suspect in connection to a recent theft investigation. Police say that the individual entered a laundry room at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Shug Jordan Parkway on September 24, and pried open several of the coin boxes on the commercial vending washers and dryers and took an undisclosed amount of money. Campaign violations submitted against three Miss Homecoming campaigns

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Multiple campaign violations were turned into the Auburn University Student Government Association Elections Board in connection to three Miss Homecoming candidates. Violations were turned in agains Sadie Argo, Maddy Hickman and Tracy Moore's campaigns. Four violations were turned in against Sadie Argo's campaign: one accusing members of the campaign of campaigning for votes off campus, one accusing the campaign of offering incentives for voting, one in connection to a non-Auburn student sending out an endorsement email and one accusing a campaign volunteer of giving out a cell phone to a student to vote. Argo's campaign was found to not be in violation of all charges except for the one associated with the non Auburn student endorsement email for which she lost 53 votes. One violation was submitted against the campaign of Tracy Moore accusing the campaign of sending out a voting email/campaigning in a GroupMe before 7:00 am on voting day.

Auburn Chamber of Commerce hosts business fair in Student Center

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- The Auburn Chamber of Commerce hosted a business fair Wednesday in the Auburn University Student Center. Multiple businesses from around the Auburn area showcased products and services to Auburn students. Chamber officials say that the fair is a good way to connect students to the surrounding community.  Students who visited all the booths had the opportunity to compete for several prizes.

Auburn Police investigating wreck on Shug Jordan Parkway

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Multiple injuries are reported following a major wreck on Auburn's Shug Jordan Parkway between the intersections of Wire Road and South College Street. Motorists on the scene say that the road is currently blocked in both directions. This is a developing story, more details to follow.

Congressman Mike Rogers responds to Kavanaugh accusations

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Alabama Congressman Mike Rogers responded to the accusations levied against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh saying that he is suspect of the timing. The accusations by Christine Blasey Ford, allege that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when he was 17.
