Dadeville man arrested by Auburn Police and charged with Sexual Abuse of a Child less than 12 years of age

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- On May 7, 2018, Auburn Police arrested Clifford Earl Williams, age 43, from Dadeville, Alabama in obedience to a Grand Jury indictment charging him with Sexual Abuse of a Child less than 12 years of age. The arrest stems from an investigation into the sexual abuse of a child that was reported to police on August 10, 2015; the incident occurred at a residence on Oak Street.

Alabama joins lawsuit targeting DACA program

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (EETV) – Alabama Attorney Steve Marshall is one of a coalition of seven attorneys general who filed a lawsuit Tuesday calling for the halt of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program which was implemented by an Obama administration without the legal consent of Congress.

City of Auburn to offer free downtown parking from May 7-16

AUBURN, Ala.- The City of Auburn has announced that downtown parking will be free May 7-16 during the break between Auburn University’s spring and summer semesters. In addition to on-street parking available throughout downtown, parking can be found on and surrounding the ground floor of the Auburn Municipal Parking Deck and in the Gay Street Parking lot.

Former UN official: Recent meetings between North, South Korea "extraordinary"

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Recent meetings by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and South Korean President Moon Jae In have caused many in the international community to think that changes could be coming to the relationship between North and South Korea. Auburn University Distinguished Visiting Professor and Diplomat in Residence Douglas Coutts says that the recent meetings between Kim and Moon are “extraordinary.” Coutts worked several years with the United Nations, including in North Korea, where he was the UN’s first humanitarian coordinator during a portion of the 1990s. Eagle Eye TV sat down with Coutts to get his opinion on the ongoing dialogs.

Melissa McCarthy makes a generous gift to Auburn's new performing arts center

Auburn, Ala. - Auburn is star-studded this week, welcoming several celebrities for the premiere of the movie, "Life of the Party," staring Melissa McCarthy. On Monday, McCarthy arrived to campus, rolled the trees with Student Government President, Dane Block, and most importantly, gave a major donation, along with her husband, to the new Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center at Auburn University.  McCarthy and her husband, director Ben Falcone, made the decision to donate $25,000 to the new performing art center.

Alarms goes off at Foy Hall

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- The fire alarms at Auburn University's Foy Hall went off early Monday afternoon. The alarms, which prompted an evacuation of the building, went off for several minutes. According to officials with Auburn's Campus Safety and Security office, the alarm was due to construction going on in the building.
