Auburn Defeats Texas A&M 85-66

Auburn's Bryce Brown led the way with 22 points in the first half alone. Jared Harper added 17 points along with 6 assists. The Tigers started fast in the first half taking a 48-32 lead at halftime. Bryce Brown outscored the Aggies 18-10 in the last six minutes including 3 straight three point shots to end the half.  Auburn wouldn't look back as they would go on to win 85-66. Auburn's bench outscored the Aggies bench 27-5 with 13 points coming from Anfernee McLemore. Texas A&M's leading scorers were T. J. Starks and Savion Flagg who both scored 22 points. The rest of the team did not reach double digits. Auburn's SEC road record improves to 4-3 under Bruce Pearl. Bryce Brown said, "That win will work wonders for us, it's our first true road win and I feel like it helps us at home because we can get the job done away from our place." Auburn's record improves to 13-3 (2-1 in SEC) and they will return to Auburn Arena Saturday for a top 25 showdown with the 12th ranked Kentucky Wildcats.

Auburn Earns First SEC Win Over Georgia 93-78

The Auburn Tigers defeated the Georgia Bulldogs 93 to 78. This victory follows last week’s devastating loss on the road against the Ole Miss Rebels. The Rebels defeated the Tigers 82 to 67, which resulted in the Auburn Tiger’s first conference loss. The Georgia Bulldogs also entered into tonight’s game with a 0 and 1 conference standing with their prior loss against the Tennessee Volunteers. Tonight’s win was not only a team win but was also a personal victory for certain individuals such as Anfernee McLemore, Jared Harper, Bryce Brown, and even Coach Pearl. Jared Harper dropped 22 points on the score board tonight, while Brown and McLemore both had 15 points for the Tigers. Auburn was much better in the paint as they scored 40 points down low. Georgia's leading scorer was Turtle Jackson, who had a career high 16 points. Nicolas Claxton added 15 points and 3 blocks for the Bulldogs. Auburn's record improves to 13-2 (1-1 in the SEC) and they will travel to College Station on Wednesday to face off against the Texas A&M Aggies.

Auburn Offense Shines In Music City Bowl Rout

Nashville TN (EETV)- The final game of the 2018 season pitted the Auburn Tigers against the Purdue Boilermakers in the Music City Bowl. Auburn's defense would be tested as the Boilermakers brought in the 24th best offense in the country led by quarterback David Blough. In the first quarter, Auburn started fast on the first drive of the game as Jarret Stidham found Jatarvious Whitlow for a 66 yard touchdown pass on the third play from scrimmage. After a three and out from Purdue, Auburn took a 14-0 lead on an 87 yard drive capped off by a 2 yard run from Whitlow. On Purdue's next drive, Auburn's Javarius Davis intercepted an errant throw from Blough and returned it to the Purdue 18 yard line. Jatarvius Whitlow would score his third touchdown of the game as he took it in from one yard out to give Auburn a 21-0 lead. The Boilermakers got things going offensively as Rondale Moore capped off a 78 yard drive with a 7 yard rushing touchdown to cut Auburn's lead to 14. Auburn would regain the 21 point lead as Jarret Stidham found Darius Slayton for a 74 yard score. The score was Auburn's fourth straight touchdown on offense and the longest of the 2018 season. In the second quarter, the defense held Purdue on fourth down. Auburn's offense needed one play to score their fifth straight touchdown as Stidham found Darius Slayton for his second touchdown reception of the game. The defense got in on the scoring as Big Cat Bryant intercepted a deflected pass and returned it for 20 yards to give Auburn an astounding 42-7 lead. Auburn's offensive attack did not stop as they tacked on two more touchdown's to give them a 56-7 lead at halftime. The Tigers set a school record for most points in the first half since they scored 49 against Chattanooga in 1995. Auburn opened the second half with their ninth touchdown of the game as Ryan Davis took a jet sweep for five yards to give Auburn a 63-7 lead.

Auburn Holds off Murray State 93-88

Auburn, Alabama (EETV)- After losing on the road at NC State, the Auburn Tigers looked to rebound against the Murray State Racers. In the first half Auburn started out on an 8-0 run to start the game as Austin Wiley dropped 10 points. Bryce Brown seemed to be back in form as he scored 8 points including his first three point basket in two games. Murray State hung around, taking a five point lead with nine minutes to go. Auburn would take the lead into half 38-35 with help from Chuma Okeke as he scored the last five points of the half. Murray State started the first half fast, knocking down three straight three-point shots to take a six point lead. The lead wouldn't last for long as Auburn took a 14 point lead with 8 minutes remaining. Murray State did not go away as they cut the lead to just three in the last 40 seconds. Auburn was able to hold on for the win as Jared Harper knocked down two clutch free throws. The play of Murray State's guard Ja Morant should not go unnoticed as he dropped 25 points in the game. Shaq Buchanan also scored 21 points for the Racers, going 8-14 from three. Auburn's Samir Doughty had a career high 20 points to lead the Tigers and Austin Wiley and Chuma Okeke both added 17 points. Auburn's record improves to 10-2 and they will return to Auburn Arena next Saturday against the North Florida Ospreys.

Auburn Survives UAB in Overtime 75-71

Birmingham, Alabama (EETV)- Auburn and UAB faced off in the Mike Slive Invitational in Legacy Arena. Birmingham, Alabama (EETV)- Auburn and UAB faced off in the Mike Slive Invitational in Legacy Arena. With the series tied at 10-10, Auburn looked to take the advantage. In the first quarter, Auburn started very slow shooting 34 percent from the field. UAB came out strong knocking down 40 percent of their shots to take a seven point lead. Auburn made a push at the end of the half as they outscored the Blazers 8-0 to take a 28-27 lead at halftime. The second quarter was a back-and-forth affair as neither team could hold a lead. Auburn held a six point lead with 1:15 left but the Blazers hit two clutch three's two send the game to overtime. In overtime Jared Harper took over as he hit some crucial free throws to help the Tigers hold on 75-71. Harper went to the free throw line a total of 16 times and shot 80 percent. Harper led the way with 31 points while Chuma Okeke dropped 11 points. Auburn was unusually cold from three, only shooting 18 percent. UAB was led by Jalen Perry, who scored 18 points and Lewis Sullivan with 11. Auburn's record goes to 9-1 and they will go on the road next Wednesday night at North Carolina State.

Auburn Defeats Dayton 82-72

The Auburn Tigers faced off against the Dayton Flyers Saturday night in Auburn Arena. The Tigers looked to defeat Dayton for the second year in row. The Tigers showed out big in the first half with their high shooting percentage. Auburn shot 61 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the free-throw line, while Dayton shot 48 percent from the floor and only 50 percent from the free-throw line. Guards Jared Harper and Bryce Brown came out hot from the three-point line, Harper shooting 2-3 and Brown 4-5. Harper ended the half with 14 points and Brown with an impressive 22 points.  Not only were the Tigers dominant on the offensive end in the first half, but their defense made a statement with a total of five blocks, three of which came from Austin Wiley. Auburn would enter halftime with a comfortable 51-32 lead. Bryce Brown and Jared Harper continued to be the leading scorers for Auburn as they would finish with a combined 54 points. Brown scored a career high 34 points and Harper finished with 20 points. The Tigers would remain on top as they win the hard-fought game, 82-72.  Auburn improves their record to 8-1 and Dayton falls to 5-4. The Tigers will be in Birmingham Saturday the 15th in Legacy Arena as they take on UAB.

Auburn Defeats UNC Ashville 61-47

Auburn, Alabama (EETV)- Auburn Basketball took on the UNC Ashville Bulldogs Tuesday Night in Auburn Arena. The Tigers came into the game ranked eighth and a 6-1 record to start the season. At halftime, the score was 33-18, but the Tigers were struggling to make some shots. Austin Wiley led the team with 8 and Jared Harper both added 6. The Tigers came out more explosive in the second half as the went on to win by a final score of 67-41. Austin Wiley had 14 points on the night and Samir Doughty had 13. Wiley said, "We didn't play our best basketball, and coach says we can't play down to our opponent." The Tigers shot 47.9 percent and were only 9-23 on three-point attempts. With the win Auburn improves to 7-1 and will face the Dayton Flyers on Saturday at 7 PM in Auburn Arena.

Auburn Football To Face Purdue in the Music City Bowl

Auburn, Alabama (EETV)- The reveal of the college football bowl season pitted the Auburn Tigers against the Purdue Boilermakers in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl.  Purdue comes into the game with a 6-6 record, but they have have an impressive 49-20 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Auburn Women's Basketball Defeats Oklahoma 95-79

The Auburn Tigers defeated the Oklahoma Sooners 95-79 while setting a school record in three pointers made with 13. The Sooners had a few spurts to keep things close early, but Auburn's relentless barrage of threes stood too much.  Emari Jones and Robyn Benton led the Tigers with 4 threes each and Unique Thompson had her 12th career double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds.  Auburn hits the road again this week, traveling to Philadelphia to face St. Joseph's this Thursday night. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. at Michael J. Hagan Arena.

Auburn Defeats Saint Peter's 99-59

Auburn, Alabama (EETV)- After a successful trip to the Maui Invitational, the 8th ranked Tigers returned home to face the Saint Peter's Peacocks. Before the game, senior Bryce Brown was honored for breaking the record for three pointers in Auburn history set by Wesley Person. Auburn got off to a quick start going on a 13-0 run to start the game. Anthony Mclemore led the team in the first half with 11 points, and Bryce Brown added 10 to make the halftime score 51-23. Auburn stayed in control in the second half defeating the Peacocks 99-59. The Tigers shot 48 percent from the field and held the Peacocks to only 27 percent. Auburn's leading scorers were Anthony Mclemore and Bryce Brown who both dropped 19 points. Malik Dunbar had 14 points on the night and Chuma Okeke added 12 for the Tigers. The win moves Auburn to 5-1 and they will return to Auburn Arena next week to face UNC-Ashville on Tuesday night at 7PM.

Auburn Baseball's Eduard Julien Named Canadian Baseball Network Player of Year

Toronto, Canada (EETV)- Auburn's Eduard Julien was recently named player of the year by Canadian Baseball Network.  Julien was a first place vote on 43 of 52 ballots by scouts, executives, coaches, and writers. In his freshman year, Julien led the Tigers with 17 home runs and an SEC leading 69 RBI's. His RBI total broke Frank Thomas's freshman record in 1987. Julien earned Freshman All-American and SEC honors with four Auburn players which was the most in the country. Auburn Baseball opens their season with a three game series against Georgia Southern on February 15-17.

Auburn Falls To Alabama 52-21

The Auburn Tigers came into Bryant-Denny Stadium a heavy underdog, but looked to shock the world with an upset over Alabama. Early in the first half, Auburn's Shaun Shivers appeared to have a seventy yard rushing touchdown, but it was erased by a holding call on Sal Canella. Alabama would get the ball and Tua Tagovailoa would make it 7-0 with a rushing touchdown. Auburn would answer with a 73 yard drive capped off by an Anthony Schwartz 9 yard touchdown to tie the game at 7-7. Alabama took the lead 14-7 with a four yard pass from Tagovailoa to Henry Ruggs III. Alabama would kick a field goal on the next drive to extend their lead to ten. Auburn's special teams came through late in the second half as Smoke Monday blocked a punt to give Auburn great field position. The Tigers would capitalize as Ryan Davis found Malik Miller on a double pass to put Auburn down 17-14 at halftime. Alabama would take over in the second half as Tagovailoa threw for three touchdowns as the Crimson Tide would go on to win 52-21. Jarret Stidham ended the night 13 for 30 for 127 yards and a touchdown while Darius Slayton led the Tigers in receiving with 63 yards and one touchdown. Jatarvius Whitlow led the rushing game with 19 carries for 61 yards. Tua Tagovailoa had a solid performance going 25/32 for 324 yards and 6 total touchdowns. Damien Harris led the Crimson Tide in rushing attack, rushing for 61 yards and Jerry Juedy racked up 77 yards receiving with one touchdown. The loss puts Auburn's record at 7-5 and they will await the their bowl destination. Alabama will travel to Atlanta next week to play Georgia for the SEC Championship.

Auburn Wins Third Place Game vs Arizona 73-57

Lahaina, HI (EETV)- Auburn and Arizona faced off last night in the third place game of the Maui Invitational. Auburn would defeat the Wildcats 73-57 with a strong second half preformance. Auburn’s Bryce Brown set the record for the most three pointers in Auburn history. Brown passes Wesley Person’s previous record of 262. Auburn’s bench outscored the Wildcats 33-4 with 15 points coming from Malik Dunbar. With the win, Auburn improves to 5-1 and will return to Auburn Arena next Wednesday against Saint Peters at 7 PM.

Auburn Comes Up Short Against Duke 78-72

Auburn and Duke faced off in a top 10 matchup in the semifinals of the Maui Invitational. Auburn looked to solve the Blue Devils high powered offense led by R.J Barret, Zion Williamson, and Cam Reddish. Auburn would fall to the Blue Devils 78-72 in a hard fought game. Auburn's Jared Harper led the Tigers with 22 points and Austin Wiley added 17 points on the night. The loss sends Auburn's record to 3-1 and they will play Arizona at 10:30 PM on ESPN2.

Auburn Basketball Defeats Xavier 88-79 In An OT Thriller

Lahaina, HI (EETV)- Auburn basketball made their first apperance in the Maui Invatational against the Xavier Muskateers in the first game of day 1.  In the first half, both offenses could not gain any momentum as their were 4 lead changes in the first 7 minutes of the game.  Auburn would find their rythm as they would stretch the lead to 10 with help from Byrce Brown who posted 13 points in the first half.Xavier would cut the lead to 33-28 with an 8-1 run going into halftime. In the second half, Auburn's Jared Harper would light it up dropping 17 of his 25 points in the second half alone as Auburn held a five point lead with a minute left. Xavier came from behind and tied the game late at 77 with only 26 seconds to play. The game would go into overtime and Auburn would prevail 88-79 as they hit some crucial free throws down the stretch. Auburn will face off against the Duke Blue Devils tomorrow night at 6PM central time on ESPN.

Auburn Football defeats Liberty

Auburn defeated Liberty 53-0 with a strong performance on both sides of the ball. Auburn accounted for 541 yards of offense and Jarret Stidham threw two touchdown passes. Auburn's defense had a blocked punt, and two interceptions including one of a touchdown. Auburn will face off the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Iron Bowl next week.

Auburn Defeats Mississippi College 103-52

Auburn, Alabama (EETV)- The Auburn Tigers showcased their offensive talents at home by defeating Mississippi College 103-52.  The game was never in doubt, but the Choctaws of Mississippi came within 11 points with 17:37 left in the second half. The Tigers shut down any talk of an upset outscoring Mississippi College 52-12 after the 11 point scare.  Auburn will now look ahead to the Maui Invitational as they face off against Xavier in the first round. The game is scheduled for Nov. 19 and tip-off is at 1:30 p.m.

Former Auburn baseball player arrested Sunday

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Former Auburn University baseball player Joshua Myron Anthony was arrested on drug charges Sunday. According to Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones, Anthony was arrested by the Opelika Police Department. Opelika Police Department spokesperson Shane Healy told in a statement to Eagle Eye TV... Anthony played both third and first base during the 2018 season.

Chuma Okeke named SEC Player of the Week

AUBURN, Ala - Chuma Okeke has been named the Southeastern Conference Player of the week, following his performance in the Tiger’s win against Washington Friday night. This is Okeke’s second SEC honor, as he was named SEC Freshman of the week back in the 2017 season. Okeke shined Friday night to help the Tigers gain their second win of the season.
