London (EETV)- After an incredible performance against Johanna Konta, Venus Williams came into the Wimbledon finals more confident than ever. The 37-year-old American battled with Spaniard Garbine Muguruza. Muguruza takes Wimbledon title lost to Venus’s sister Serena just two years ago in the Wimbledon finals and was determined not to lose again. After a tough battle Muguruza was down 4-5 and fought back to win the first set 7-5. The second set would be a completely different story as Muguruza shut out Williams by a score of 6-0. The match was ended by a long shot by Williams that was ruled in.
Hoover, Ala. (EETV) - The Auburn Tigers closed out SEC Media Days on Thursday in Hoover, Alabama.
Hoover, Ala (EETV)- Auburn has selected their players to represent their team at SEC Media Days. A handful of SEC teams like Kentucky and Arkansas are taking their quarterbacks, but the majority of teams will not, including Auburn. Offensive lineman Braden Smith, kicker Daniel Carlson, defensive back Tray Matthews and Head Coach Gus Malzahn are scheduled to go to Hoover, Alabama to speak to the media.
The Auburn Softball team just lost one of their key players for the upcoming season. Rising senior Carlee Wallace was granted release from the program June 15. Auburn will have some big shoes to fill as they loose one of their offensive weapons.

After deciding to retire on the same day as Super Bowl 50, it looks like Marshawn Lynch is coming out of retirement. The 31-year-old running back from Oakland, California has come out of retirement and has been traded to the Raiders. Fans will get a chance to catch Lynch in his new uniform September 10 against the Tennessee Titans.

Tuscaloosa, Ala. (EETV) - The Auburn Club Triathlon team competed in the USA Triathlon Collegiate Club National Championships in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on April 22. Auburn was one of 120 club teams to compete in Nationals.

AUBURN, ALA. (EETV) - Three Auburn softball players have been arrested on charges of possession of marijuana 2nd degree and drug paraphernalia. Senior Hayley Fagan, sophomore Makayla Martin, and freshman Brittany Maresette were arrested early Thursday morning. Fagan is the starting shortstop, Martin is one of the starting pitchers in the rotation, and Maresette comes off the bench in a pinch running. Eagle Eye has reached out to Auburn Athletics for a statement regarding the arrests.
AUBURN, ALA. (EETV) - The Atlanta Braves (2-6) had their home debut in SunTrust Park against the San Diego Padres (5-5) over the weekend. The Season of Firsts inside SunTrust started Friday night.
AUBURN, ALA. (EETV) - After falling to Missouri in the first game of the series, Auburn was able to come back in the next two games to take the series. The Tigers fell to Missouri in game one by a score of 6-1.
Before Wednesday’s game against Georgia State, something seemed a little out of place. During the non-starters introduction, Emily Spain was not mentioned. Yesterday, it was reported that Junior Emily Spain plans to take a leave of absence for unspecified reasons that are unrelated to the recent departure of assistant coach Corey Meyers. So far this season, Spain had appeared in 13 games and started in 6 with a .071 batting average with one hit at 14 at bats.
